The “Hickory” is crafted from a retired wine barrel after years of producing quality wines and now reclaimed into this fun holder. This cradle is made from large Napa valley wine barrel that has been carefully taken apart and fashioned into a fully functional basket. Completely 100% recycled and salvaged wine barrels.
Our shop office gets really full of magazines and we finally decided that the tottering stack had to go so we created this wonderful basket made entirely from a retired Napa wine barrel.
We scaled a full size wine barrel down to this perfect size so it would fit easily into any home or office.
It can also be used as a harvest basket for your garden. We have one of these specifically for our shop garden and it works great! Or use it to organize your fire place kindling and wood. Its large enough and sturdy enough to handle heavy abuse. Modern and chic yet wonderfully rustic. Stylishly sexy, and completely made from recycled barrels. This is functional art at its best and a delight to have.
The barrels are dried for up to 1 year to insure they are dry, then kiln fired and taken apart by hand. Each piece is dried, sanded, and sealed with 3 coats of a clear UV sealer to preserve your beautiful art for generations to come.
Beautiful and elegant, it highlights the dark red wine color and the graceful curve of the barrel itself. Very “light” piece visually but incredibly sturdy to survive dogs and kids. After all, it’s solid oak and steel.
