The “Kanyar” is a magnetic, whisky barrel stave knife holder crafted from 100% recycled whisky barrels. Each barrel is cut and dried for up to a year before it is sanded and finished with several coats of clear, organic, food grade, renewable Tung oil. Re-oil the board occasionally and it will last a lifetime. Each board is fitted with eight extra strong magnets to keep even your largest knives in place. As a seasoned cook, I buy the expensive magnets as I have a lot of heavy knives in my home and shop kitchen. These pull 16 pounds each to hold even your most heavy knives.
