These mini barrels are really hard to come by and I finally found a winery that does lots of small batch wines. After a healthy discussion over a bottle of brandy (or two…), we came to an arrangement and I now have a couple of these!
This barrel made wine for 10 years and then was retired to take on life as a bourbon and whiskey barrel, imparting its delicious wine flavor to the bourbon (I tried it, believe me its freaking AWESOME). The ends went to other projects and the middle I just had to make to an adorable pet bed.
The Napa valley wine barrel is carefully cut and sanded and securely screwed together prior to several coats of a clear UV sealer to protect it for years of service and use.
Why have a regular pet bed when you can improve your overall design with one of these beautiful barrels.
Also we call it a pet bed as ours is used more by our cats than dogs, even at the shop. Perfect for a gaggle of kittens.
Need a different size? No worries! We make them in all sizes for every sized pet and we do have many other varieties of pet beds available.
