American Gas Lamp Works 3600R Boulevard Aluminum Pier Mount Light Head is available in gas-fueled and electric models.

American Gas Lamp Works manufactures and sells the world’s finest natural gas and liquid propane lighting fixtures and accessories, as well as matching electric incandescent and LED fixtures. Whereas nearly all other gas lanterns are made from bent and soldered sheet metal, American Gas Lamp Works lamps are handcrafted from components that are formed by pouring liquid metal into sand-mold patterns. This foundry-casting technique results in sturdy yet beautiful fixtures that will deliver warmth and beauty to your home or outdoor living area for many years.

The Boulevard

The Boulevard lamp is the quintessential American antique gas street lamp. Patented in 1899, the design was a transition from square-sided to round-globe lamps. An impressive 42 inches tall, our Boulevard gas or electric lamp recalls the grandeur of the Victorian era, but with the strength and simplicity of American character.

Inverted Gas Mantle

Invented by Carl Auer von Welsbach in the 1880s, gas mantle lighting lined the streets of North America & Europe for most of the late 19th & early 20th centuries. Gas mantles provide a solid, bright white light when fueled by gas and stay on even when your electric power goes out.

  • Available in dual (DMI), and triple (TMI) inverted configurations.
  • For use with natural gas or liquid propane.
  • Burners include venturi tube with air shutter ring, burner head, and ceramic tips.

For outdoor gas lamps, please contact an experienced local plumber or professional gas lighting specialist. To locate a specialist, please refer to a local directory. For electric GasGlow® LED and Incandescent Candelabra Base lamps, we recommend that you coordinate installation with an experienced electrician for dependable service.
  • When renovating or building a new home, we recommend that you order your lamps early in the construction process so both the plumber and/or electrician are familiar with the lamps and their requirements at rough in.
